Recovery Day 2023 is February 15th!

From our friend at Recovery Vermont:

Recovery Vermont invites you to join us for Recovery Day, an annual advocacy celebration to honor the power of substance use disorder recovery. This year’s Recovery Day will be held on Wednesday, February 15th; additional details will be added soon!

Recovery Day 2023 is a celebration of recovery and the many pathways of the recovery journey, where we can listen to one another’s experiences and honor powerful individual transformations.

Recovery Day is also an opportunity to learn about the strengths and challenges of the many organizations that offer recovery support in our communities, and to envision what “recovery-friendly communities” could look like across Vermont.

While a full agenda will be added prior to the event, we can share the names of some of the folks who will be speaking.  We are so excited to announce the following speakers, with more to be announced soon:

Congresswoman Becca Balint

Justin Johnston, CRC

Dr. Rick Marasa

Astrid Braydish-Hoyt, CRC

Bob Purvis, CRC

Lila Bennett, CRC

Margae Diamond

Michael Johnson, CRC

Crystal Bolio, CRC

Gary De Carolis

Representative Kathleen James

Representative Dane Whitman

Dr. Mark Levine

Ryleigh Bruno

Senator Ginny Lyons

Dawn Tatro, CRC

More speaker details to come… check this page often, and if you haven’t registered yet, register below.

During Recovery Day we will display a slideshow of art, poetry, or words and photos recognizing individual contributions to the recovery community or in memory of those we have lost.  Please send us your submissions.

All submissions will be displayed in a slideshow during the Recovery Day event, and the slideshow will be available on our website following the event. We will credit you for your submission, including your name on the slide, unless you tell us that you would like to remain anonymous.

:Looking forward to seeing you on the 15th!
