Children in Your Community Need You!
Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Trainings
Becoming a Trained Trainer in Prevent Child Abuse Vermont's Healthy Relationships Project will prepare you to facilitate our comprehensive child sexual abuse prevention programs AND teach others to facilitate the programs with fidelity, as well.
All three of our curricula are developmentally targeted, research-based, and focus not only on victim prevention, but also perpetration prevention, by teaching children the social-emotional skills to recognize, manage and maintain healthy relationships throughout their lives.
Our two-day Training of Trainers equips participants with the knowledge and skills to bring all aspects of the Care For Kids©, We Care Elementary©, and SAFE-T (Sexual Abuse Free Environment for Teens©) programs to their communities and teach others to facilitate all aspects, as well.
Trainers will learn to:
Facilitate faculty and staff trainings using the PowerPoint presentations.
Facilitate parent meetings for childcare centers/schools that will be implementing the program(s).
Implement the program(s) in the childcare setting or in the classroom.
Train teachers/childcare workers to use all aspects of the program(s).
Provide on-going technical assistance and support for those implementing the program(s).
The registration cost for a two-day training is $500 per person when you register early. After the early registration date cutoff, the price is $550 per person. Vermont based organizations and current Trained Trainers needing a refresher or an introduction to the most current editions may be eligible to attend a training at a reduced price. Contact us for more information regarding this.
All curricula, materials and training manuals will be available for useduring the training, and available for purchase afterwards. Ongoing technical support is provided with the purchase of any curriculum. Trainer’s manuals are included in the purchase price of the curricula when bought at a training (a savings of $50 per curriculum!).
Want the Healthy Relationships Project, but don’t have the time or funds to do a national training?
While we highly recommend having someone from your center attend an in-person training in order to start using our curricula, we know that not everyone who wants to start using our child sexual abuse prevention programs can attend a training right away.
