Governor Douglas Proclaims April "CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH"

 

On Tuesday, April 6th, at 11:30AM in the Cedar Creek Room at the Vermont Statehouse, the Honorable Governor James Douglas officially proclaimed April to be Child Abuse Prevention Month in Vermont. 

 

The importance of prevention was highlighted and appreciation for parents, volunteers, friends, caregivers and professionals was emphasized.   The ceremony began at 11:30 AM with a press conference.  Parents, volunteers, professionals, authors, artists, contributors, and all friends of Vermont’s children and families were in attendance.

 

 Following the press conference, outstanding refreshments were served compliments of Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc.
