Prevent Child Abuse Vermont
is seeking a Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Coordinator/Trainer, to oversee the implementation of SAFE-T, our prevention education program for middle school students. Candidate must be able to successfully recruit schools, train faculty, staff and parents, handle administrative details, and work directly with young teens. We are looking for someone with a unique blend of skills and experience that include education, social work, sales and marketing. There are 2 full time positions and 1 half time position based in Montpelier, and does include statewide travel.

is seeking an AmeriCorps Family Support Programs Coordinator to develop and manage parent education and support groups. The position is based in Montpelier, but would involve travel to nearby communities. Duties include recruitment and supervision of volunteers, community organizing and group development. Must have reliable transportation. Knowledge of child development, child abuse dynamics, love of parent education/support and passion for helping families required. AmeriCorps is a government funded national community service program. When serving a full term of AmeriCorps (@1700 hours in 11 months), you will receive a Living Allowance stipend of $12,000 and are eligible to earn a $5,350 education award, health insurance, childcare (must meet income eligibility requirements), mileage reimbursement and other benefits. The term starts September 1, 2010.

The position is based in Montpelier, but would involve occasional travel within Vermont. Duties include ordering food from the Vermont Foodbank, soliciting food donations from other organizations, recruiting and supervising volunteers to help with food preparation and delivery, and assisting with other program activities. Must have reliable transportation. Some knowledge of nutrition would be helpful, and a passion for helping families required. **********
